Microsoft Entity Framework (in its current version) has not yet accomplished the most of its goals, but our personal experience with it proved to us, more than once, that it has many advantages for the design and development of complex data-oriented projects. Nevertheless, it was the experience we acquired working with Entity Framework over an Oracle database (using DevArt – "dotConnect for Oracle") that raised many new questions and revealed pitfalls that we had to deal with and find ways to avoid, ones that we haven't seen before. This session will guide you through the bumpy road we went through, show you the holes and traps we found and the ways around them, and suggest the correct methods to use with the design and development of your project, so your way would be the highway.
